SPL 48: Slavonic Studies

Compulsory course evaluation according to the Rectorate’s evaluation plan

WS 2021/22 - SS 2023 - WS 2024/25

In addition to the compulsory evaluation, lecturers may also evaluate their courses on a voluntary basis.

 Online course evaluation

Teachers can set up evaluations via the u:space teacher interface. There, they can select between the options "online with student attendance" and/or "online" according to the agreement with the directorate of studies. If "online with student attendance" is selected, the questionnaire is open for 48 hours (reminder e-mail after 24 hours). Online questionnaires are open for 14 days (reminder e-mail after 7 days). The Unit for Quality Assurance recommends selecting "online with student attendance".

To set up a course evaluation, choose the start date for the evaluation (date and time of the course unit, during which the students complete the questionnaire) and the desired questionnaire type on u:space. Detailed information about setting up a course evaluation can be found here.

On the start date of the evaluation, students are sent an individual link to their univie e-mail address, which they can use to access the questionnaire for the evaluation (it will take them about 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire). Students who are not attending the relevant course unit can fill in the questionnaire within the following two days (or two weeks).

The lecturer receives the evaluation results by e-mail immediately after the end of the evaluation period.

 Questionnaires

For the evaluation of courses assigned to the Slavonic Studies Directorate of Studies, you can use the following questionnaires (pre-view):

SPL-Philologien - Typ 1 (V7) - alle Lehrveranstaltungen außer Sprachlehrveranstaltungen

SPL-Philologien - Typ 2 (V7) - Sprachlehrveranstaltungen

 Person responsible for evaluations

In semesters with a compulsory course evaluation, the persons responsible for evaluations are the first point of contact regarding your evaluation.

 Aggregated results

The aggregated results (comparative figures) are calculated on the basis of all analysed questionnaires from the relevant questionnaire type. This way, you can see for every questionnaire item, how the students in your courses who completed this questionnaire assessed your course compared to all students in the degree programme.

For every questionnaire item, similar to the course results, the number of submitted questionnaires, the arithmetical mean, the standard deviation and the frequency distribution (in per centage) are visualised in a histogram.
