The arithmetical mean is now 1.58 (scale: 1...excellent – 5...poorly). Three years ago, the arithmetical mean was still 1.66 and six years ago 1.76. The members of the University of Vienna continuously strive for top quality in teaching and research, which is also reflected by the students’ feedback.

The results of the course evaluation in the winter semester of 2021/2022 were sent to the teachers, together with comparative figures of the relevant study programme. The teachers have the opportunity to submit a statement in the evaluation system under eval2.univie.ac.at (log-in required).
The Unit for Quality Assurance provided the directorates of studies, among others, with overview tables of the university-wide questions as well as aggregated key figures for each study programme to enable the analysis of the SPL-specific results in a university-wide context. These data are also stored on EvaSys.
According to the guidelines of the Rectorate, the results have to be discussed in the studies conferences. The Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs discusses the results and insights with the directorates of studies.
The results of the course evaluations serve as:
- a feedback instrument for lecturers;
- a feedback and planning instrument for the directorates of studies;
- a basis for the assessment of individual evaluations (especially professors, tenure track professors, senior lecturers);
- a data basis for the evaluation of faculties and centres.
In the winter semester of 2021/2022, all course evaluations were carried out online only and/or online with student attendance.
