Course evaluation summer semester 2024

30.10.2024

In the summer semester 2024, the courses in the natural and life sciences (NAWI and LEWI clusters) were evaluated.

Results are available for 1,746 of the 2,001 courses to be evaluated. This corresponds to an evaluation rate of 87%, which represents an increase of 3% compared to the evaluation three semesters previously. Overall, the rate of evaluated courses in the NAWI and LEWI clusters is slightly lower than in the rest of the university (90%).

The mean value for the question "Overall, I think the course is... (5-point scale from very good to very bad)" has improved by 0.05 scale points to 1.73. With this improvement, students in the NAWI and LEWI clusters gave the courses slightly lower marks than the university-wide average (1.64).

Approximately every thirteenth course (8%) in the NAWI and LEWI cluster has a problematic evaluation result with a mean value greater than 2.5. The proportion of poorly evaluated courses has fallen compared to the evaluation three semesters ago (10%). The study program directors contact the course directors concerned to initiate improvement measures.
