Graduate Surveys

The Unit for Quality Assurance of the University of Vienna regularly surveys graduates after completion of their degree programmes. The results of graduate surveys are used for the following purposes:

  • Information and consulting for students
  • curriculum development
  • Peer-Review-Processes
  • Alumni work

All graduates who have completed their degree programmes in the previous month receive an invitation to participate in the survey by e-mail. The findings are analysed per calendar year, degree programme code group (SKG) and degree programme type (bachelor's programmes, master's programmes, diploma programmes, teacher education programmes, doctoral programmes) and forwarded to the directors of studies and the Rectorate.

Graduate Surveys

Results 2013-2015

The present compilation contains information on the following topics:

  • evaluation of the degree programme
  • satisfaction with services
  • capacity building
  • reasons for exceeding the standard duration of a degree programme
  • final paper or thesis
  • career prospects

This brochure aggregates and analyses the responses from 2013 until 2015 to guarantee that degree programme code groups covering a lower number of graduates are also included. The total response rate obtained is about 37 %. Each analysis that contains more than five responses is published here. Individual reports are available here (in German).
