Evaluation of Courses

The evaluation of courses offered at the University of Vienna serves to improve teaching activities at the University, in particular by providing

  • A feedback instrument for course instructors and
  • A feedback and planning instrument for the directors of studies

In accordance with the Rectorate's evaluation plan, the courses are evaluated by the students in a three-semester cycle. Moreover, directors of studies can also initiate additional course evaluations in the area(s) they oversee. Furthermore, depending on the available personnel resources of the Unit for Quality Assurance, every course instructor can elect to have his/her course evaluated by the students irrespective of this process.
