LV-Evaluation ab WS 2020/21 "Online in Präsenz"

31.08.2020

English version

Course evaluation from WS 2020/21 "Online in presence"

From the winter semester 2020/21, the course evaluation at the University of Vienna will only be carried out in the form of "online in presence" or "online". Evaluations with paper questionnaires are no longer possible.

The course evaluation online in presence combines the advantages of online and paper-and-pencil evaluations:

  • The response rate is the same as for paper-and-pencil evaluations and significantly higher than for pure "online" course evaluations outside the course unit.
  • The free comments are easy to read because they are in computer font and not handwritten.
  • The evaluation will be sent to the course instructor via email immediately after the evaluation window has closed (two days).
  • The course leader can therefore discuss the evaluation result with the students if the evaluation was carried out before the last unit.

All the technical prerequisites have been created so that the evaluation “online in presence” can be carried out easily. The lecturer or the evaluation officer creates the survey in u:space by selecting the questionnaire type and starting time of the evaluation.

In the course unit in which the evaluation takes place, the students of this course receive an e-mail with an individual link for one-time participation in the survey. Lecturers encourage students to fill out and send off the online questionnaire in the course unit. Students who are not present can carry out the evaluation within two days.
